FAQs: show hide

Q: Are your Atmosphaeres shot in 3D or 2D?
A: All our Atmosphaeres are 2D 360° videos. The reason is that convincing 3D 360 isn't really possible at the moment and those videos that are, are often poorly stitched or create eye strain or headaches when watched over an extended period of time. That's why we prefer to provide 2D 360° videos that are well stitched and enjoyable to experience.

Q: The video quality on your website is actually not that great, is this really the best you can do?
A: The quality you see on the website is optimised for streaming over the internet. Rest assured that the quality of the final video that you download is a lot better when you experience it on your home computer or VR Headset. If you are still not 100% satisfied with the Full video and have not relaxed a single bit while viewing Ireland VR, we will gladly offer you a refund.

Q: The footage is kind of shaky, is this normal?
A: Once you view the video in your VR Headset, the slight shakes become absolutely unnoticeable. However, if you are not 100% satisfied with the Full video and have not relaxed a single bit while viewing Ireland VR, we will gladly offer you a refund.

Q: The video stutters on my computer!
A: You are probably running the very demanding 4k version of the video. Try the 2k version and see if this works. If you have not downloaded the 4k + 2k bundle then please get in touch with us via our Contact page. If you are on a Windows PC, you may want to consider MaxVR, which gives many people a much smoother experience than Kolor Eyes. If even the 2k version (on MaxVR or in Kolor Eyes) does not work we will gladly offer you a refund.

Q: What's the best VR Headset for your videos?
A: The Samsung Gear VR is our recommended VR Headset because our 4k videos simply run the smoothest on this VR Headset. The Zeiss VR One is also very good and the mobile phones that it currently supports (iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5) should run the 4k video as well. If you have an LG G3, you may be interested in our tray mod for the LG G3 and the Zeiss VR One (Disclaimer: If you go down this path it is entirely your responsibility, we are just documenting what we have done). The Oculus Rift DK2 is very good as well, however, needs a VERY powerful computer to run the 4k demo. The consumer version of this VR Headset that's expected sometime in 2015 should be better, however, for now we recommend running the 2k version with the Oculus Rift DK1 & DK2.

Q: I don't know how to copy the video into my VR Headset!
A: Take a look at these videos for the Samsung Gear VR/Zeiss VR One and all other Android phone-based VR Headsets and the Oculus Rift.

Q: Can I download and install the video straight onto my mobile phone?
A: We don't recommend this and have not heard of a customer successfully doing this. We suggest that you download the video to your computer and then copy it to your mobile phone from the computer. Follow the video tutorials mentioned above to see how to copy the videos to your phone.
